Joe Harden Leaves Men's Basketball Program

Notre Dame, Ind. - University of Notre Dame men's basketball coach Mike Brey has announced that Joe Harden (Acampo, Calif.) has withdrawn from the University and will transfer to another school.

During the 2006-07 campaign, his freshman season, Harden played in 14 contests and averaged 1.2 points, 0.9 minutes and 3.6 minutes per game. He scored a career-high four points in wins over Elon and Stony Brook and grabbed a personal best four rebounds versus Army.

"We appreciate Joe's contributions during the past season," Brey said. "We understand the decision he has made and wish him nothing but the best in the future."
