Rockley , Christ Church, Barbados - The Notre Dame men's basketball team took care of business on Tuesday night as the Irish improved to 2-0 in Barbados with a 112-65 victory over the Barbados National Team. Chris Thomas and Torrian Jones scored 20 points each as six players scored in double figures.

The Irish came out somewhat flat in the first quarter and held just a four-point advantage (28-24) after the first quarter. Jones had the big first quarter for the Irish with he and Colin Falls scoring seven points each. Notre Dame broke open the game in the second quarter, outscoring Barbados 32-7 to grab a 60-37 lead at the intermission. Jordan Cornette and Chris Quinn scored seven points each in that quarter as the Irish displayed a balanced scoring attack.

Notre Dame increased its lead to 74-48 after the third quarter with Thomas scoring 11 points. The play became somewhat ragged in the final 10-minute stanza as the fans were treated to alot of one-on-one play. Thomas scored two three-pointers in the fourth quarter that brought the crowd to their feet, while Jones had an electrifying dunk that please the approximately 250 fans in attendance.

Cornette had another steady preformance as he scored 18 points. Rick Cornett contines to play a big role as he came off the bench to score 12 points and grab 11 rebounds. Torin Francis also finished with a double double as he netted 11 points and hauled in 11 boards. Chris Quinn ended the game with 11 points to round out the double-figure scoring for the Irish.

Notre Dame plays its final game tomorrow night (Wednesday, October 22) against the Milton Keynes Lions.
