Kinder Out Against Vandy

A pulled right quadricep muscle leg will keep 1995's leading rusher, Randy Kinder, out of Thursday's season opener against Vanderbilt. The injury occurred during practice Sunday and it's not yet known if the 6-1, 206-pound senior will play in the Sept. 14 matchup with Purdue.

Coach Lou Holtz will move Robert Farmer into the starting position.
