GENERAL NOTES

Ohio State evens the all-time series with Notre Dame at two and wins at Notre Dame Stadium for the first time.

The Buckeyes become the first team to defeat Notre Dame in consecutive regular seasons since Boston College in 1993-94. Since 1987, only three teams have defeated the Irish in consecutive regular seasons (Penn State 90-91, Penn State 86-87 and Ohio State 95-96).

When Kinnon Tatum intercepted Stanley Jackson's pass in the first quarter, it marked the first turnover by the Buckeyes this season.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES

Kinnon Tatum recorded his second career interception in the first quarter of today's game. Tatum intercepted a pass in the second quarter of the 1995 Air Force game.

With his two touchdowns today, Marc Edwards recorded his first receiving TD of the season and the fourth of his career. Edwards now has three touchdowns this season and 25 in his career.

Jim Sanson connected on a 26-yard field goal in the third quarter. Sanson is now 5 for 6 in field goal attempts this season and has made his last three field goal attempts.
