*--Today's win by Notre Dame is the 33rd straight victory over Navy, which is an NCAA record for consecutive victories by one school over another.

*--The 54 points scored by Notre Dame is the most points given up by Navy since the Irish scored 58 against Navy on October 29, 1994.

*--This is the second time this year that Notre Dame has scored 54 points. The Irish also scored 54 against the University of Washington.

*--This was the first game that Navy has ever played overseas. Notre Dame squared off against Miami in the Mirage Bowl played in Tokyo, Japan on Nov. 24, 1979.
