    GRADUATE SEASON (2013): Saw action in 11 games during the regular season but missed the New Era Pinstripe Bowl due to an injury ... started every contest he was healthy to play ... played in 47 straight games during his career and started 34 consecutive games at left guard prior to missing the Navy game (Nov. 2) with an injury ... part of an offensive line that allowed just eight sacks and ranked tied for second in the FBS in fewest sacks allowed ... no team in the nation allowed fewer sacks and attempted more passes than Notre Dame (eight sacks on 382 pass attempts) in '13 ... area of great improvement for the Fighting Irish ... last fall, Notre Dame allowed twice as many sacks (18) on 41 fewer passing attempts (388) ... helped the Irish run the ball for a season-high 235 yards while not allowing a sack on 28 passing attempts in the victory over BYU (Nov. 23) ... Michigan State entered the game against Notre Dame (Sept. 21) ranked 14th in the FBS in sacks - averaging 3.0 per game, but the Irish did not allow a single sack in 34 pass attempts against the Spartans ...     JUNIOR SEASON (2011): Started all 13 games at left guard ... part of a unit that allowed only 17 sacks in 13 games during the regular season (fewest since 1998) ... helped pave the way for a running game that averaged 4.8 yards a carry (best by an Irish team since 1996)

    SOPHOMORE SEASON (2010): Saw action in all 13 games in 2010 ... provided depth behind Chris Stewart at the right guard position ... took the field for the Irish for the first time in his career against Purdue ... the Irish offensive line allowed 20 sacks over its 13 games in 2010, which averaged out to 1.54 sacks per game ... Notre Dame had not allowed fewer sacks per game since 1998 when the Irish allowed only nine sacks in 11 games or 0.82 per game ... totaled 117 snaps on offense, the seventh most of any Irish offensive lineman.
