    AS A SENIOR: Reserve walk-on linebacker for Irish in 2001 . . . played mainly on special teams ? three-year monogram winner and starting midfielder on Irish lacrosse team that advanced to 2001 NCAA Final Four?recorded first tackle of the season vs. Pittsburgh. . .recorded one tackle on special teams vs. West Virginia. . .posted another special-teams tackle against Boston College. . .made 73 special teams appearances this season.

    AS A JUNIOR: Reserve walk-on linebacker for Irish in 2000 . . . played in each 2000 football game on special teams, making 72 appearances . . . made first career tackle vs. Michigan State . . . also had one stop vs. West Virginia, Air Force and USC . . . pounced on loose ball after David Givens blocked Mike Barr's punt in third quarter vs. Rutgers to set up a Javin Hunter touchdown that gave Irish 31-17 lead . . . blocked Mike MacGillivray punt and returned it four yards in the second quarter vs. USC, setting up a Matt LoVecchio touchdown run that gave Irish the lead for good, 14-7 . . . handled majority of faceoffs for '01 Notre Dame lacrosse team that finished 14-2 and advanced to NCAA semifinals in best season in Irish history in that sport.
