    Is starting for the Irish at left tackle in ?03 ? is one of three offensive linemen with any game-time experience (Sean Milligan and Dan Stevenson) ? earned his first monogram after playing valuable minutes toward the end of ?02 after switching to the offensive line ? started the last three games of the season in place of Jordan Black and Brennan Curtin ? made the switch from defensive line before the beginning of the 2001 season ? hard worker who is physically tough and made solid adjustment to offensive scheme in ?01 spring drills.

    AS A SENIOR: Reserve offensive tackle in 2002 until the last three games of the season where he moved into the starting lineup ?played 124:37 minutes in 2002 ? also made 31 plays on special teams ? played most of second half vs. Michigan State at left tackle as Notre Dame came back to defeat the Spartans 21-17 ? saw action at right tackle vs. Pittsburgh ? made his first career start vs. Rutgers at left tackle ? served as the key pass blocker as quarterback Carlyle Holiday threw for a Notre Dame record-tying four touchdowns in that game ? started at right tackle vs. USC in place of Brennan Curtin ?moved back to left tackle and started the 2003 Gator Bowl against North Carolina State where he played over 28 minutes.

    AS A JUNIOR: Reserve offensive tackle in ?01 ? made 20 appearances on special teams this season ? made first appearance at right tackle vs. Navy.

    AS A SOPHOMORE: Reserve defensive lineman for Irish in 2000 ? played in first career game vs. Rutgers and made one solo tackle.

    AS A FRESHMAN: Did not see varsity action as rookie defensive lineman in ?99.

    HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: USA Today honorable mention All-America pick ? had 18 solo tackles, 29 assists, one and a half sacks, eight forced passes and four batted passes as senior in ?98 while helping team to 7-4 mark at Bethlehem Catholic High School in Bethlehem, Pa. ? three-year starter earned four letters in football as offensive and defensive tackle ? first-team Associated Press big school all-state pick in ?97 and ?98 ? one of five finalists for Pennsylvania Lineman of the Year award ? had 46 tackles, 17 of them solo, two and a half sacks, four tackles for losses, 15 forced passes and one batted pass as junior in ?97 ? named East Penn Conference outstanding offensive lineman as junior ? helped team to conference title as freshman ? captain of team as senior in ?98 ? two-time all-conference and all-city selection ? named to ?98 all-area teams by both Bethlehem Morning Call and Easton Express-Times ? played tight end as a freshman ? chosen for McDonald?s All-Star Classic ? attended Notre Dame summer football camp ? father Jim played football at Moravian ? full name is James Anthony Molinaro, Jr. ? older of two children ? born April 27, 1981 in Hatfield, Pa. ? enrolled in College of Mendoza College of Business, majoring in economics, sociology and computer applications.
