FRESHMAN SEASON (2015): Played in all 13 games and started three contests (Wake Forest, Stanford and Ohio State)...led the Irish in yards per carry (7.1), ranked second in rushing yards (835) and rushing yards per game (68.2), and ranked third in carries (117) and rushing TDs (6)...his 835 rushing yards are the most by an Irish freshman in school history (bested previous record held by Darius Walker, 786, in 2004)...rushed for 100 or more yards in three of the team's last five games...equaled school freshman record with four 100-yard rushing games (UMass, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest and Stanford)...holds three of the top five and four of the top nine single-game rushing performances in school history by a freshman, highlighted by his freshman school-record 168 yards at Stanford (Nov. 28)...set a Notre Dame record, and tied the NCAA freshman record, with a 98-yard TD run against Wake Forest (Nov. 14)... the 98-yard TD run was the longest play from scrimmage in the nation last season...although did not meet the minimum of 10 carries per game (just 13 carries short) to be included in the NCAA leaders, his 7.14 yards per carry average would have ranked fourth in the nation behind only Georgia Southern's Matt Breida (7.92), Florida State's Dalvin Cook (7.38) and Baylor's Johnny Jefferson (7.35)...32 of his 117 carries went for a first down or touchdown...averaged 7.5 yards per carry on first down...recorded 22 rushes of at least 10 yards and eight carries of at least 20 yards...three TD runs of at least 60 yards and two TD runs of at least 70 yards...did not start in the season-opening rout of Texas (Sept. 5), but scored a pair of TDs in his collegiate debut, including a TD on his first ever carry...managed just five carries over Notre Dame's next two games (Virginia and Georgia Tech) as the primary backup to lead running back C.J. Prosise...broke out with 133 yards on just 13 carries, including a 70-yard TD run, vs. UMass (Sept. 26)...averaged 10.2 yards per carry against the Minutemen...collected just 11 carries in a backup role over the next four games (Clemson, Navy, USC and Temple)...replaced an injured Prosise at Pittsburgh (Nov. 7) and nearly set the school freshman rushing record with 147 yards on 20 carries (freshman school record was 148 yards by Jerome Heavens vs. Georgia Tech, Nov. 8, 1975)...added a five-yard TD catch against the Panthers...collected first career start against Wake Forest (Nov. 14)...ran for 141 yards on 17 carries, including a 98-yard TD run, in the victory over the Demon Deacons...rushed for a career-best 168 yards on 18 carries at Stanford (Nov. 28), highlighted by a 62-yard TD run...the 168-yard effort bested the school freshman single-game record...added a pair of receptions for a career-high 28 yards, including a career-best 22-yard grab...registered 196 all-purpose yards against the Cardinal...started in the 2016 BattleFrog Fiesta Bowl vs. Ohio State (Jan. 1)...ran for 78 yards and a TD on 14 carries against the Buckeyes.
