The Notre Dame football program held its annual Pro Day for NFL hopefuls at the Loftus Sports Center.

CAREER: A key veteran on the defensive line who will move to defensive end after starting at nose tackle in the first 10 games of 2007 ... possesses a tremendous motor and work ethic and displayed an uncanny ability to knock down passes at the line of scrimmage ... led all defensive linemen in the Football Bowl Subdivision with nine pass break-ups last year and tied for the team-high honors... has played in 31 career games with 10 career starts (all in 2007) ... totaled 53 career tackles with three tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, nine pass break-ups and one fumble recovery.

2007 (Junior): Started each of the first 10 games at nose tackle before missing the last two due to injury ... recorded 42 tackles including 2.5 tackles for loss and tied for team-high honors with nine passes broken up ... led all defensive linemen in the nation in passes batted down ... started as the anchor of the defensive line in the season opener vs. Georgia Tech ... recorded career-high eight tackles (three solo, eight assist) and had 0.5 tackles for a loss of one yard at Penn State ... recorded six tackles against Michigan in third start of the season ... notched two tackles and paced the Irish with a game-high two pass break-ups against the Wolverines ... had three assisted tackles and a pass breakup against Michigan State... led the Irish in tackles with seven (five solo/two assisted) against UCLA ... had two pass breakups on the day vs. the Bruins ... recorded five tackles (two solo, three assisted) and a broken up pass against Boston College ... had a total of five tackles (two solo, three assist) vs. USC, including one tackle for loss, and added two pass break-ups ... made four tackles (two solo, two assist) against Air Force ... logged 210:40 of playing time and made 51 special teams appearances.

2006 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in 12 of 13 games for the Irish as a reserve defensive tackle ... totaled seven tackles on the season ... made two tackles in the home opener against Penn State ... recovered a fumble against Navy ... recorded three tackles, along with half a sack, versus North Carolina ... logged 81:52 of playing time.

2005 (FRESHMAN): Played in nine games, primarily on special teams ... missed the season's final three games with an injury ... made four tackles (one solo) on the season ... had one tackle in the win over Navy ... assisted on two tackles against BYU, playing 3:30 at defensive tackle ... made one solo tackle against Purdue while playing 2:07 at defensive tackle ... logged 11:49 of playing time with 56 special teams appearances.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Graduated from Roncalli High School in Indianapolis, Ind. ... led Roncalli to its third straight Indiana state title in 2004 by making 114 tackles (27 for losses), 14 sacks and one interception while forcing a pair of fumbles ... made 120 tackles and 10 sacks as a junior in 2003 ... rated the nation's number-24 defensive tackle by Tom Lemming's Prep Football Report ... played the last four games of his senior season with a broken right arm ... coached by Bruce Scifres ... led Roncalli's basketball team to a sectional championship as a senior in 2005 ... as a sophomore in 2004, he made five game-winning shots during the Roncalli basketball team's drive to a sectional title ... full name is Patrick Tyler Kuntz ... one of three children ... born April 15, 1986, in Indianapolis, Ind. ... enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters, majoring in sociology.
