TEAM NOTES
• With the win, Notre Dame improves its all-time record percentage to 876-305-42 (.733). The Irish still own the best winning percentage in NCAA history.
• The shutout snaps Michigan's NCAA record 376-game streak without being shutout, one that extends back to an Oct. 27, 1984 game against Iowa (26-0).
• The Irish improve to 9-2 (.818) all-time in night games at Notre Dame Stadium and 5-0 against Michigan under home lights.
• Notre Dame now leads the all-time series against Michigan at Notre Dame Stadium 10-6-1 (.618).
• The 31-point margin of victory is now the largest margin of victory for Notre Dame in the series. Prior to Saturday's contest the largest margin of victory for Notre Dame in the series was 23 points (35-12 Irish victory in 1943 in Ann Arbor).
• Tonight marks the first time that Notre Dame has shutout Michigan in 42 meetings.
• With its efforts tonight, Notre Dame now has 106 punt return yards on the year, matching the 106 yards the Irish had all of last season.
• The Irish have yet to commit a turnover in 2014 while the Notre Dame defense has claimed five takeaways. The Irish are now 15-0 under Brian Kelly when it does not commit a turnover.
• Notre Dame is now 124-47-5 (.719) all-time against the Big Ten at home and 100-42-3 (.700) all-time against the Big Ten at Notre Dame Stadium.
Kolin Hill became the 11th different Notre Dame freshman to play this season and the eighth on the defensive side of the ball.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
Everett Golson improves to 12-1 (.923) in his career as a starting quarterback.
• Golson's numbers tonight were a dramatic improvement from his 2012 showing against the Wolverines in which he completed just three of eight passes for 30 yards and a pair of interceptions before being pulled in favor of Tommy Rees.
Kyle Brindza has now made each of his last 59 consecutive extra point attempts, dating back to a miss against Pittsburgh on Nov. 3, 2012. He went four-for-four tonight.
• Thus far in 2014, 12 of Brindza's 15 kickoffs this year have gone for touchbacks. He went five for six tonight.
• Will Fuller collected nine receptions on the evening, a career high.
• With his fourth quarter field goal, Brindza moves into a tie for second-place in school history with his 46. Nicholas Setta had 46 from 2000-03 while John Carney hit a school-record 51 from 1984-86.
Cody Riggs had his first career interception for Notre Dame and the second of his career in the contest against Michigan. The other came for Florida against Penn State in the 2011 Outback Bowl.
Max Redfield intercepted Devin Gardner on Michigan's first second half possession, which was his first career interception.
Amir Carlisle scored his first two career touchdowns against the Wolverines on Saturday night.
• James Onwaulu recorded his first career punt return in the game.
Kolin Hill became the 11th different Notre Dame freshman to play this season and the eighth on the defensive side of the ball.
Cam McDaniel scored his first touchdown of the year and the fifth of his career.
Doug Randolph saw the first playing time of his Notre Dame career.
• During the game tonight, Notre Dame recognized this year's Heisman Trophy Golden Anniversary honoree, John Huarte who claimed the trophy in 1964.
