The `12, `98 and `88 Notre Dame squads are the only in school history to win six or more games at home in a single season without a defeat.
Notre Dame has won eight straight home games, its longest winning streak at Notre Dame Stadium since a 10-game streak spanned the 1997-99 seasons.

With a 11-0 record, No. 3/3 Notre Dame is one of only four FBS teams that is still unbeaten this season, three of which are ranked in both the latest Associated Press and USA Today polls. The others are No. 1/1 Oregon (10-0), No. 2/2 Kansas State (10-0) and No. 3/3 Notre Dame (10-0). No. 4/- Ohio State (10-0) is undefeated, but is not eligible for the USA Today poll.
None of the four remaining unbeaten are slated to face one another in the regular season.
NOTRE DAME OFF AND RUNNING
For only the fourth time in school history, Notre Dame has opened the season with 11 straight victories.
The last time that happened was 1989, when the Irish won their first 11 games before dropping a 27-10 decision at No. 7 Miami.
The three previous 11-0 starts led to a pair of undefeated seasons, two national championships and three bowl berths (3-0 record).
Among all-time Notre Dame head coaches, Lou Holtz posted a pair of 11-0 starts in his career and Ara Parseghian had one. Brian Kelly is the third Irish head coach to start a season 11-0.
Notre Dame's 11-game winning streak is the longest for the Irish since 1992-93. The Irish closed the `92 season with seven straight victories before opening `93 with 10 consecutive wins.
IRISH ON A PRETTY GOOD RUN
Since opening the 2011 season with an 0-2 record, Notre Dame has won 19 of its last 22 games--good for an .864 winning percentage. The Irish have the sixth-best overall FBS and fifth-best BCS winning percentage since Sept. 17, 2011.
Notre Dame has won 19 of its last 21 regular season games -
good for a .905 winning percentage - since starting 0-2 in 2011. Only one FBS school has a better regular season winning percentage over the same span: Oregon (20-1, .952).
EIGHT IS NOT ENOUGH, BUT
Brian Kelly has won at least eight games in each of his first three seasons on the Notre Dame sidelines. Lou Holtz, Ara Parseghian, Frank Leahy and Knute Rockne - who combined to win 10 consensus national championships - failed to accomplish the feat.
Kelly and Dan Devine are the only Irish coaches to win eight or more games in each of their first three seasons at Notre Dame.
Only one Notre Dame coach - Devine with 28 - has won more games over his first three years on the Irish sidelines than Kelly (27).
