    General Game Information

    Kickoff: Scheduled for 1:00 pm

    Television: NBC Sports Network (cable). Coverage begins at 1:00 pm.

    A -- Alumni flag football game scheduled to start at 3:45 p.m. at Notre Dame Stadium, immediately following the Blue-Gold game, weather permitting.

    B -- Band of the Fighting Irish will have between 100-200 members present in the northeast corner of Notre Dame Stadium.

    C -- Candles, 90 of them, will be lit as more than 50 of his former players return for the weekend to help former Irish head football coach Ara Parseghian celebrate his 90th birthday (his actual 90th birthday is May 21).

    D -- Day of game tickets are available at the Notre Dame Stadium ticket office and cost $15 for adults and $10 for youths 18 years and under. The ticket office will open at 9 a.m. Saturday.

    E -- East sideline will have former Notre Dame players watching the game as the entire Fighting Irish football team will gather on its normal sideline on the west side of the stadium. Over 100 former players are expected to return to campus this weekend for a dinner Friday night featuring football alumni and the current Fighting Irish football team, and then line the east sideline at the Blue-Gold Game.

    F -- Funds from the Blue-Gold Game go to the Notre Dame Club of St. Joseph Valley to help with scholarship dollars for local high school seniors. Through fundraisers like the Blue-Gold Game and membership dues, the Notre Dame Club of St. Joseph Valley is able to distribute over $175,000 annually in Notre Dame tuition assistance to students throughout the greater Michiana area, including north central Indiana and southwest lower Michigan.

     

     

    G -- Gates to Notre Dame Stadium open at noon Saturday. All Gates will be open so fans can use Gates A, B, C, D and E to enter and exit Notre Dame Stadium.

    H -- Helmet decals will be worn by the Irish this weekend featuring a green shamrock with a blue B inside the shamrock. The B will be outlined in gold. The decals will be worn in memory of all those affected by the bombings on Monday in Boston at the Boston Marathon.

    I -- Live web stream of the Blue-Gold Game is available here, for certain cable providers only. Following the game, UND.com will bring you a LIVE post-game breakdown, featuring postgame highlights and Brian Kelly's postgame press conference.

    J -- Jersey colors for this game: Notre Dame offense wears white and Notre Dame defense wears blue.

    K -- Kickoff for the 2013 Notre Dame Blue-Gold game is set for 1 p.m. at Notre Dame Stadium on April 20.

    L -- The leprechaun for the 2013 Notre Dame football season will make his first public appearances this weekend. Johnny Romano, a senior from Chicago, Ill., and the entire cheer team will participate in the unveiling of The Shirt on Friday and will be at the Blue-Gold game Saturday.

    M -- Mass after the Blue-Gold Game at Basilica of Sacred Heart will begin at 5 pm Saturday.

    N -- NFL Business Seminar becomes a reality this weekend as 30 current and former NFL players come together on the University of Notre Dame campus to participate in the NFL's newest Business Management and Entrepreneurial Program: Investment for Impact. The seminar--an idea started by former Irish players Jeff Faine and Brady Quinn--teams the NFL, Notre Dame's Center for Executive Education and the Gigot Center for Entrepreneurship to help players learn how to build a solid financial foundation and to help them learn how to invest their money wisely and with impact. This event is closed to the public.

    O -- Officials for the game are from the Atlantic Coast Conference.

    P -- Parking lots open Saturday at 8 a.m. and are free to the public. Tailgating is permitted Saturday. The following lots will be open for the Blue-Gold Game--Joyce, Stadium, Library, Reserved A, D2 (accessible parking with shuttle service) and Innovation Park (IP).

    Q -- The first and second quarters of the Blue-Gold Game will follow normal clock rules, but the third and fourth quarters will both feature 15 minute running clocks.

    R -- Radio coverage is available in South Bend on News and Sports Radio 960 AM and 96.1 FM WSBT with announcers Darin Pritchett, Rick Carter and Eric Hansen. SiriusXM radio will carry the coverage on Sirius channel 91 and XM channel 91.

    S -- The Shirt 2013 (official student section T-shirt) festivities begin at 3:30 p.m. Friday with the stage presentation and the actual unveiling beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore.

    T -- Television coverage can be found on NBC Sports Network and the announcers for the game are Dan Hicks (play-by-play), Mike Mayock (analysis) and Alex Flanagan (sideline).

    U -- Upper bowl at Notre Dame Stadium will be closed for the 2013 Blue-Gold Game.

    V -- VIP Brunch doors open at 9:30 a.m. at the Joyce Center Fieldhouse (north dome) and brunch begins at 10 a.m. The brunch is sold out this year with over 1,000 fans expected to share a meal with the 2013 Notre Dame football team and participate in an autograph session with the players.

    W -- Walk to the stadium featuring the Notre Dame football team will occur 11:30 a.m. but will be from Gate 3 of the Joyce Center to either Gate A or the North Tunnel of Notre Dame Stadium.

    X -- Other "xtracurricular" home activities occurring within the Notre Dame athletics department this weekend include baseball, men's tennis and men's lacrosse events. The Irish baseball team plays host to Quinnipiac at noon and 3:35 p.m. on Saturday (free admission with Blue-Gold game ticket stub) and 1:05 p.m. on Sunday (free admission with Blue-Gold game ticket stub). Men's tennis is playing host to the BIG EAST Championships at the Eck Tennis Pavilion all weekend with free admission all three days. The men's lacrosse team faces Villanova in a 2 p.m. game Saturday at Arlotta Stadium.

    Y -- Youths from the Michiana community will be honored Saturday. Winners of the Meijer Ticket Design will be acknowledged and high school seniors that plan to attend Notre Dame and will receive scholarship money from the Notre Dame Club of St. Joseph Valley will be introduced.

    Z --- Zaire (pronounced zy-EAR), as in Malik, Notre Dame's early-enrollee freshman quarterback from Kettering, Ohio
