The University of Notre Dame football team officially begins the 2007 season today, Monday, Aug. 6, with Media Day activities and the first day of practice.

From 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. ET, all of Notre Dame's assistant coaches will be available for interviews in the Loftus Sports Center. Those interviews will be collected and posted on und.com later this afternoon.
At 1:30 p.m. ET, the Irish players will take their turn with the media. Along with captains John Carlson, Maurice Crum, Jr., Travis Thomas and Tom Zbikowski, Notre Dame's player leadership committee will also be available - Trevor Laws, Geoff Price and John Sullivan. Once again these interviews will be captured, compiled and posted on und.com this afternoon.
Finally at 3:30 p.m. ET, the Fighting Irish will take the field for the first practice of 2007. As always, Fighting Irish All-Access will be there for full coverage - and will return to the practice field every day of the year for video updates.
The new und.com redesign will launch this afternoon as well, giving Irish fans faster access to Fighting Irish All-Access video offerings.

Aug. 6 - First day of practice
Aug. 11 - Fan Appreciation Day - practice in Notre Dame Stadium (weather permitting)
Aug. 24 - Freshman Media Day - First day Irish rookies will be allowed to speak to the media
Aug. 28 - Student Appreciation Day - practice in Notre Dame Stadium open to all Notre Dame/St. Mary's students (weather permitting)
