July of 2009 set a Northern Indiana record as the coolest seventh month of the year in history. When the Notre Dame Football Team took the field to start preseason camp on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, Mother Nature decided to remind the team that summer still dominated the calendar.
Under partly cloudy skies and very humid conditions, the Irish took the field for their first team practice of the 2009 season today.
The und.com cameras were there to capture the action. The Notre Dame players were also available to the media today for the first time after finishing up summer school yesterday (Friday, Aug. 7). We compiled some of those interviews for the Irish faithful as well.
