The Notre Dame athletics department launched a program during the 2013-14 basketball and hockey seasons that enabled fans to upgrade seat locations and purchase unique fan experiences at Fighting Irish home games using their smartphones at Purcell Pavilion and at the Compton Family Ice Arena. Notre Dame has partnered with Experience, an Atlanta-based company, to offer the seat upgrade and fan experience technology that allows fans to register for these unique opportunities securely through their smartphone's web browser.
"Notre Dame Athletics continues to look for new ways to make the fan experience more unique and memorable," says Brian Pracht, assistant athletics director for marketing. "Through last season's basketball and hockey seasons and the Blue-Gold spring football game, we were able to test this new technology--and we were very pleased with the response from our fans.
"We look forward to another great season, as well as deepening our partnership with Experience to offer the best fan experience in college sports today."
Ben Ackerman, Experience president notes, "Giving Fighting Irish fans the opportunity to enjoy special experiences and feel a stronger connection to their
beloved team is what our mobile technology is all about. We expect this season to
be exceptionally memorable for the fans."
Please note that seat upgrades are not substitutes for game tickets. Purchase of a Notre Dame football game ticket is required for entrance to Notre Dame Stadium. A limited number of tickets remain for the home opener versus Rice on Saturday, August 30 (3:30 p.m. EST). To purchase tickets, visit UND.com/Buy Tickets.
