The University of Notre Dame football team returned to the practice field in full pads on Friday, Dec. 29, to begin its final push toward the Allstate Sugar Bowl on Jan. 3. The team held its first spirited workout in the Super Dome on Friday, while head coach Charlie Weis appeared at his first press conference of the week.
