FALL 2012: Competed in two tournaments ... upheld a 73.83 stroke average through six rounds ... gathered in one top-25 finish ... achieved best finish of the fall season at Fighting Irish Gridiron Golf Classic, tying for 15th place after firing a six-over-par 219 (73-73-73) ... tied for 33rd place at the Georgetown Intercollegiate, firing an 11-over-par 224 (74-77-73) ... contributed at the Georgetown Intercollegiate with two counted rounds toward team scoring, assisting Notre Dame to its highest finish of the fall season (second place).
AS A SOPHOMORE: Competed in two tournaments for the Irish on the year, entering as an individual in both events ... finished the season with a stroke average of 73.60, good for second on the team in limited rounds ... opened the campaign at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Golf Classic, earning a share of 11th with a 54-hole score of 218 (+8) ... sat at even par after the first two rounds aided by an opening round 72 (+2) and a second round 68 (-2) - his lowest round of the season ... finished tied for 12th at the Battle at the Warren in lone taste of spring action after posting a 150 (+8) ... finished that tournament with a 70 (-1).
AS A FRESHMAN: In his first year with the program competed in both of the team's home events ... finished the year with a 77.25 stroke average, including 82.00 in the spring and 75.67 in the fall ... competed as an individual entrant in both of the tournaments ... got his first taste of collegiate golf in the Fighting Irish Gridiron Golf Classic, finishing in a tie for 55th with a three-round total of 227 (+11) ... lowest round of the year came in the first round of the FIGGC as he posted a five-over par 75 ... returned to the Warren Golf Course in the spring for the Battle at the Warren, posting a one-round score of 82 (+11) to finish tied for 29th amongst the field.
PREP AND PERSONAL: Graduated from Alamo Heights High School in San Antonio, Texas ... an accomplished player on the junior golf circuit and at the high school level ... named to the Express News "Super Team" in 2009 & 2010 ... a three-time San Antonio City Junior Champion ... including 2009 when he fired three consecutive under par rounds (70-68-70) to claim medalist honors ... placed first at the 2010 AJGA Valero Texas Junior Shootout with a score of 209 (69-69-71) ... took home top honors shooting a 75 and 74 at the 2010 NISD Spring Invitational ... claimed first place at the UIL District Tournament in 2008 and 2009 and finished seventh overall at the Texas UIL State tournament in 2009 ... finished sixth after carding a 211 (69-71-71) at the Bart Granger Memorial in 2009 ... totaled five top-20 finishes, including four in the top-15, on the AJGA circuit ... in 2009, he turned in top-15 showings at the Laredo Energy (played at the Traditions Golf Club) and the Emerson (played at Maderas Golf Club) AJGA events ... finished in third at the US Junior Amateur Qualifier in 2008 at Woodlake Golf Club carding a 145 (72-73) and the Trans American Junior Golf Championship in 2007 after posting a 72 and a 73 ... ranked as the 34th best prospect according to Golfweek/Titleist rankings among 2010 graduates ... also ranked 49th according to AJGA Polo Rankings ... currently enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business as a double major in accounting and economics.
