SUMMER 2004: Just missed defending his title at South Bend Metro Championship, winding up three shots back in third place with four-day score of 283.
AS A JUNIOR: Participated in one tournament during 2003-04 season ... placed 73rd at the Bruce Fossum/TaylorMade Invitational with a 34-over par 250 (84-84-82).
SUMMER 2003: Claimed his first title at the South Bend Metro Championship with a five-stroke victory over former champion Roger Schmeltz.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Competed in three tournaments, including two in the spring, with five of his six rounds counting towards the team score ... placed 59th at the season-ending Bruce Fossum/TaylorMade Classic ... fired a 17-over par 233 (80-77-76), with his final-round 76 standing matching his best of the season ... also played in one fall tournament -- the season-opening Inverness Intercollegiate Invitational where he tied for 45th with freshman Scott Gustafson in a field of 75 ... shot an 18-over par 231 (78-76-77) ... had a 77.0 average for the fall with all three rounds played counting to team scoring.
AS A FRESHMAN: Played in seven of 12 tournaments during the season, one in the fall and six in the spring ... was third among Irish golfers with a 76.90 average ... had 15 of 18 rounds (83.3%) played count to team scoring ... lone fall tournament came at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational at Ball State where he tied for 94th with a 54-hole total of 234 (79-79-76) ... finished sixth at the fall Campus Championship, nine strokes behind the leader ... had a 72-hole total of 301 (75-73-79-74) ... saw first action of the spring at the Treasure Cove Classic in Port St. Lucie, Fla., where he tied for 20th, playing as an individual entrant ... fired a 36-hole total of seven-over par 151 (75-76) ... tied for 68th at the El Diablo Invitational in Citrus Springs, Fla., with a 16-over par 232 (73-83-76) ... first-round 73 (one-over par) was best round of season ... tied for 20th for second time of season at the Pepsi-Cola Invitational in Pottsboro, Texas, with an 11-over par 227 (75-75-77) ... tied for 55th at the Johnny Owens Invitational with a 13-over par 226 (75-76-75) ... shot a 20-over par 233 (76-78-79) at the Marshall Invitational, good for a tie for 74th in the 104-player field ... closed the season with a tie for 59th at the Bruce Fossum/Spartan Invitational at Michigan State ... shot a 19-over par 235 (78-80-77).
