Team Leaderboard

MOBILE, ALA. - Monday officially kicked off the spring season for the Notre Dame men's golf team, beginning play at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate at the Magnolia Grove Golf Course. The three-round tournament was supposed to witness the completion of the first two rounds today but was halted nearing completion of the second due to time constraints/darkness.

The Irish finished day one tied for fourth place at six-over par. Third place belonged to Western Kentucky at two-under, while South Alabama was in second at four-under and No. 29 Florida State led the way at 17-under par.

ROUND ONE
The Irish got off to a hot start, sitting atop the leaderboard after 12 holes with a five-under par. At that point, Ben Albin had recorded four birdies and sat at two-under after 12 holes, while Delgado recorded a bogey-free front-nine, earning a two-under as well.

After a tough back-nine, the Irish slipped to a tie for sixth place, entering the clubhouse with a 297, nine-over par. Yet, Davis Lamb shone bright on the back-nine, carding a two-under par to finish with an even-par, 72, for the round, which led all Irish.

ROUND TWO
Lamb carried his momentum into the second round and recorded yet another stellar back-nine. This time, Lamb carded a three-under on the back and was stopped with the first three holes to play on the front, at the same score of three-under.

Davis Chatfield started round two with back-to-back birdies, finishing the front-nine at three-under. Furthermore, Chatfield was stopped at hole 16 at two-under. Hunter Ostrom, who had two holes left of round two, was stopped at one-over, same as Albin, who will have four holes left to play.

ON DECK
Play will resume at 9 a.m. ET on Tuesday, completing the few holes left of the second round. Play will then roll straight into the final round with the same pairings.
