Notre Dame Men's Golf Stands Seventh After 36 Holes

The Notre Dame men's golf team is in seventh place out of a 16-team field after firing a 603 Friday through 36 holes at the Kentucky Johnny Owens Invitational.

The Irish shot 303 in the morning round followed by 300 in the afternoon at Kearney Hill Golf Links for their 603 total.

Marshall is the team leader at 587.

Notre Dame senior Todd Vernon tied for eighth individually with his 72-74. Rounding out the Notre Dame contingent were: Jeff Connell 77-72, Steve Ratay 78-78, Alex Kent 76-82 and Adam Anderson 79-76.

The tournament finishes with 18 holes tomorrow. Full results were not available as of late Friday night but will be updated on Saturday.
