Starting three freshmen and without normal No. 1 starter Matthew Rushton due to injury, the Irish shot a 71-over par 935 (301-311-323) in the three-round event.
Junior Blake Barens was Notre Dame's top finisher for a second consecutive tournament. He shot a third round five-over par 77 to tie for 27th (77-77-77-231).
Led by tournament medalist Charlie Danielson (75-67-70-212), Illinois won the tournament by 19 strokes over second-place Purdue. Danielson was one of only three players to shoot under par on Tuesday, as conditions proved tough for scoring at Crooked Stick. The average score during the third round was 79.61 in the 66-player field.
Notre Dame freshman Miguel Delgado tied for 37th after shooting a final round 79 to finish at 18-over par (74-81-79-234).
Freshman Kevin Conners, who was playing in Notre Dame's starting five for the first time at Crooked Stick, shot a final day 83 to also finish in a tie for 37th (75-76-83-234).
Notre Dame closes out its fall schedule with a trip to Ireland, which will include the Jerry Murray/Notre Dame Invitational at the famed Waterville Golf Club in Waterville, Ireland (Oct. 22-24). Texas A&M and UNC Wilmington will take part in the tournament, which will also include three local Irish University teams.
