Despite having been on the job less than four months, Notre Dame
head coach Jim Kubinski led the Irish to a 58-35-4 (.619) record this spring,
along with their second consecutive BIG EAST Conference title and NCAA regional
berth. He also nearly piloted Notre Dame to its first NCAA Championship
appearance since 1966.
