MANCHESTER, N.H.
-- Following a 3-2 comeback win over No. 1 seed Minnesota in the opening round of the 2017 NCAA Northeast Regional on Saturday afternoon, the No. 4 seed Irish will play No. 2 seed UMass Lowell at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon with a trip to the 2017 NCAA Frozen Four on the line.

It marks the fourth time in program history the Irish have reached a NCAA Regional Final. In previous NCAA Regional Finals appearances, the Irish are 2-1-0, including wins in 2008 (3-1 over Michigan State) and 2011 (2-1 over New Hampshire).

In Saturday's win over the Gophers, juniors Anders Bjork (two goals), Cal Petersen (31 saves and an assist) and Jake Evans (two assists) led the way as the Irish roared back from a 2-0 deficit late in the second period.

Notre Dame is playing in the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season, the fourth time in the last five years and the ninth time in program history. It also marks the eighth NCAA Tournament appearance by the Irish under head coach Jeff Jackson, who led Notre Dame to Frozen Four appearances in 2008 and 2011.

The River Hawks advanced to Sunday's NCAA Northeast Regional Final with a 5-0 victory over No. 3 seed Cornell.
