    Post-Game Notes

    • Tonight's matchup was the first ever meeting between Bemidji State and Michigan.
    • Bemidji State made its fourth appearance in the NCAA Tournament and now carries a record of 2-4 in NCAA play, all under head coach Tom Serratore. It was Bemidji State's second consecutive year playing in the NCAA's, as the Beavers advanced to the 2009 Frozen Four.
    • Michigan is making its 33rd appearance in the NCAA tournament and its 20th consecutive trip to the NCAAs, both of which are national records. Michigan is 47-25 all-time in NCAA tournament play and 26-19 under head coach Red Berenson.
    • Berensen is now one win shy of 700 for his career (699-327-69 in 26 seasons).
    • Michigan has won seven games in a row and nine of its last ten.
    • Bemidji State is now 0-6-0 when trailing after one period of play (trailed Michigan, 1-0).
    • Michigan has scored first in nine straight games and is 23-4-0 on the year when scoring first. UM also improved to 19-1-0 when leading after one period of play.
    • Michigan has notched four or more goals in eight of its last ten games and 20 times this season. The Wolverines are 20-0-0 when scoring four or more goals and have netted five or more goals in six of their last seven contests.

    Player Notes

    • Michigan's Louie Caporusso has recorded 12 points (eight goals and four assists) in Michigan's current seven game-win streak.
    • With two goals and an assist versus Bemidji State, Michigan's Carl Hagelin pushed his point scoring streak to six consecutive games (5-6-11). He has notched a point in 17 of Michigan's last 18 games (7-16-23). It was his fourth multi-goal game of the season and the second time he registered at least four points this season (had two goals and two assists on Jan. 9 vs. Western Michigan).
    • U-M's Brian Lebler notched a goal and an assist in the game, giving him six multi-point games on the year. Matt Rust also had two assists in the contest for the Wolverines, marking the tenth time he has registered at least two points in a game.
    • Bemidji State's Ian Lowe scored the lone Beaver goal, giving him a goal in five of BSU's final six games.
