2014 Notre Dame Schedule

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The University of Notre Dame men's lacrosse team checks in at No. 4 in the Inside Lacrosse preseason rankings and the Fighting Irish will face the other top-nine squads during the 2014 regular season. Notre Dame is the only program in the nation to have eight top-10 teams on its regular-season docket.

The Fighting Irish are entering their first season of Atlantic Coast Conference play and all of the league members appear in the top-10 of the Inside Lacrosse poll. Joining the Irish in the top four are fellow ACC schools Duke (#1), Syracuse (#2) and North Carolina (#3). Maryland is ranked sixth, while Virginia is ninth.

The non-conference slate features showdowns against No. 5 Denver, No. 7 Ohio State and No. 8 Penn State. The Fighting Irish will play host to four teams (Duke, Maryland, Penn State, Virginia) that are ranked in the poll.

Fighting Irish fans can purchase season passes to see Notre Dame take on those highly-ranked opponents at Arlotta Stadium. Tickets are on sale now through the Notre Dame ticket office. A season adult pass is $35, while they are $20 for youth (college age & under) and seniors (55 & older). A four-ticket fan pack is $75. A season pass is good for both Notre Dame men's and women's regular-season home contests. Individual game tickets are $5 for adult and $3 for youth/senior.

To purchase tickets, call the Murnane Family Athletics Ticket Office at (574) 631-7356, visit the official Notre Dame athletics ticketing web site, UND.com/tickets or stop by the Murnane Family Athletics Ticket Office windows during normal business hours (8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday).

"I think our schedule is going to be one of the most challenging in the country," says Notre Dame head coach Kevin Corrigan. "We're going to have to manage our guys through a season that's going to be a week-to-week challenge. We tried to address that in how we handled the offseason. We tried to figure out how much we were doing or how much we weren't doing. We know that come the spring it's going to be a mentally-taxing season in the sense of having the week-to-week competitiveness that we're going to have."

The Fighting Irish posted an 11-5 record last season and earned the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Championship. Notre Dame defeated five top-10 teams and concluded the regular season with the nation's top RPI before advancing to the NCAA quarterfinals for the fourth straight season. The Irish fell to Duke, 12-11, in the quarterfinal round.
