Tom Glatzel Named Great Western Lacrosse League Player of the Week

Notre Dame, Ind. -- Notre Dame attack Tom Glatzel (Ellicott City, Md.) was named the Great Western Lacrosse League co-Player of the Week for his performances in Irish wins over Denver and Air Force. Glatzel totaled eight goals in two assists in the contests as Notre Dame beat Denver 17-9 and Air Force 16-2.

Against the Pioneers, Glatzel had a career-high five goals and two assists to lead the Irish in scoring. The 6-2 sophomore, who has started all three games, had just two goals and three assists all of his freshman season. In the win over the Falcons, he netted three goals. Through three games, Glatzel is the team's second leading scorer with eight goals and three assists (11 points).

Notre Dame, which owns a 2-1 record, is ranked 19th in the STX/United States Intercollegiate Lacross Association ranking this week.

Glatzel shared the honor with Mike Abeles of Ohio State.
