Men's Lacrosse Player Earns Accolades

Notre Dame, Ind. - Steve Bishko (West Islip, N.Y.) has been named the Great Western Lacrosse League Player of the Week for his three-goal effort in Notre Dame's 9-8 win over Harvard on Saturday, May 1, Bishko had the game-tying and game-winning scores in the victory as the 13th ranked Irish rallied from a four-goal second-half deficit to defeat the Crimson.

Bishko provided the game-winner with three seconds remaining in the contest after registering tying the game with 2:31 left in regulation. The sophomore midfield has started 13 games this season and has scored 15 goals and dished off seven assists as the team's fifth-leading scorer.

Bishko becomes the fourth Notre Dame player to earn GWLL player-of-the-week honors this season. Senior attack Chris Dusseau (Columbus, Ohio) has been a two-time honoree, while sophomores Tom Glatzel (Ellicott City, Md.) and David Ulrich (Baltimore, Md.), who both play attack, have each earned the award once.
