Notre Dame, Ind. - Notre Dame sophomore goalkeeper Stewart Crosland (Bethesda, Md.) has been named the Great Western Lacrosse League Co-Player of the Week. Crosland earns the honor for the first time in his career while sharing the honor with Bill Arnold of Air Force.

Crosland had 16 saves in the Irish's 7-3 victory over Ohio State in the regular-season finale for both teams. He did not allow a goal in the second half and held the Buckeye's scoreless in the final 37:17 of the contest while playing the entire 60 minutes. It was his sixth appearance of the season for the second-year player and his third start in 2002. He started the first two games of the season.

Crosland played 181:14 of a possible 789:47 minutes this season and allowed 20 goals. He made 42 saves for a .677 save percentage and registered a 6.62 goals against average.

Notre Dame finished the season with a final record of 5-8 and shared the GWLL regular-season title with Fairfield as both teams posted 4-1 records in conference play.
