Baltimore, Md. - Former three-time men's lacrosse All-American Todd Rassas (Northfield, Ill.) will represent the United States at the 2002 International Lacrosse Federation (ILF) World Championships, July 5-15 in Perth, Australia. The U.S. is the five-time defending champion and has won seven of eight ILF titles.

Rassas, a defenseman, was the 1998 Great Western Lacrosse League Player of the Year. One of only two three-time All-Americans in the history of the Notre Dame men's lacrosse program, he was a third-team United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) selection in both '96 and '98, while earning second-team honors in 1997. A three-year starter, Rassas played in 50 games during his career and scored two goals, dished off two assists and collected 194 ground balls.

He is one of only three Western players on the roster, which includes nine collegians. The two other Western players are Ohio native Steve Dusseau (Georgetown'02), whose brother Chris was an All-American and played for Notre Dame from 1996-99, and Colorado native Mike Law (Denver'01).
