    Silver Hawks To Host `Notre Dame Men's Lacrosse Night' On Friday

    NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The South Bend Silver Hawks, the Class A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, will host `Notre Dame Men's Lacrosse Night at the Cove' on Friday, Aug. 27. The Silver Hawks will honor the 2010 NCAA Championship runner-up Irish prior to and during their 6:30 p.m. (ET) game against the Dayton Dragons at Coveleski Stadium.

    The Notre Dame team, coaches, cheerleaders and Leprechaun will be in attendance at the game. An autograph session will take place on the Coveleski Stadium concourse. Other items on the docket will be the Martin's produce race, which will feature the Fighting Irish coaches, during the middle of the sixth inning and the singing of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" by the Irish players and coaches during the seventh-inning stretch.

    The first 200 fans will receive a rally towel courtesy of McDonald Physical Therapy. There will be a fireworks show following the game.

    The Notre Dame men's lacrosse team made a memorable run to the title game of the 2010 NCAA Championship by defeating No. 6 Princeton (8-5), No. 3 Maryland (7-5) and No. 7 Cornell (12-7). The journey ended with a 6-5 overtime loss to No. 5 Duke at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md. It was the first national title game appearance in program history.
