Turner Earns Second Team All-Big East Honors

NOTRE DAME, Ind. ---- Senior forward Ryan Turner
(Scottsdale, Ariz.) who led the Notre Dame men's soccer team in
scoring this season was named to the BIG EAST All-Conference
second team. The award was announced at the banquet prior to
the 16th BIG EAST Men's Soccer Championship being held November
14 & 16 at the University of Connecticut.
Turner was the only Irish player selected for league honors.
He had 11 goals and five assists (27 points) in the 18 games he
played and in nine BIG EAST outings, netted two goals and
dished off two assists.
Notre Dame finished tied for fifth in the BIG EAST regular
season standings with a 5-5-1 mark. The Irish, 10-8-2 overall,
advanced to its second straight semifinal appearance following
a 2-0 victory on Sunday, November 9 over Seton Hall in South
Orange, N.J.
