AS A JUNIOR: Played in 13 games and earned four starts during the season • made his first career start in Notre Dame’s 1-0 victory over St. John’s • also was in the starting lineup against Georgetown, Villanova and Rutgers • saw action for the first time in 2000 in the second game of the season versus UNLV.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Was not a member of the Notre Dame men’s soccer team during the 1999 campaign.

AS A FRESHMAN: Saw action in two games • played in his first collegiate contest in the season opener against Valparaiso.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Earned three letters in soccer at St. Xavier • twice led his soccer team to the Greater Catholic League championship • served as team captain • three-time all-conference honoree • was twice selected for all-state and all-city honors • standout track performer • set school record in the 800 meters and was member of 1600 and 3200-meter relay teams which established school marks as well • as a senior finished second in 800 meters in state championship • in addition, his 1600 and 3200-meter relay teams finished second and third, respectively • vice-president of National Honor Society • received his Eagle Scout badge • was in the same graduating class as Irish football player Rocky Boiman • father Bill played lacrosse and football at Johns Hopkins • Dean’s List student was earned a 3.857 grade point average during the 2000 fall semester and perfect 4.000 in the spring of ‘01 • named to the BIG EAST Academic All-Star team for the 2000-01 school year • enrolled as a pre-professional major in the College of Science.
