    AS A SOPHOMORE: Along with Erich Braun, was a first-team all-BIG EAST selection ? second-team all-Great Lakes Region honoree ? one of three players who started all 19 games for the Irish in 2001 ? finished the season tied for third in scoring with four goals and five assists (13 points) ? registered the second multiple-goal game of his career when he tallied goals in Notre Dame?s 3-1 victory over Cleveland State ? scored Notre Dame?s first goal at the 28:23 mark which tied the game at 1-1 and then netted what proved to be the game-winning score at 50:09 off an assist from Erich Braun ? scored his first goal of the season off a Braun assist at the 70:57 mark against fifth-ranked Furman which put the Irish up 2-1 in the contest in eventual 3-2 double-overtime loss ? had an assist in the win over Bradley on Braun?s goal at 54:05 mark in the game which gave the Irish a 2-1 lead ? had a goal and two assists in 3-1 win over Georgetown ? provided the game-tying assist on Devon Prescod?s goal with eight seconds remaining in regulation against Syracuse which resulted in a 2-1 overtime victory for the Irish.

    AS A FRESHMAN: Named to the BIG EAST All-Rookie Team along with teammate Chad Riley ? also earned third-team NSCAA all-Great Lakes regional honors ? was the team?s third-leading scorer in 2000 with four goals and one assist and led the Irish with three game-winning goals ? played in all 17 games and earned 16 starts ? was the first Notre Dame player to register a multiple-goal game when he scored both Irish goals in 2-1 win over Northwestern ? tallied the first goal of the game 13:37 into the contest off an assist from Matt Rosso and then had the game-winning score at the 47:40 mark off assists from Filippo Chillemi and Braun ? netted his first career goal, which proved to be the game-winner in Notre Dame?s 2-1 victory over Cleveland State, off an assist from Riley at the 54:28 mark ? had his first career assist on Riley?s game-winning goal in 1-0 victory over St. John?s for Notre Dame?s first-ever win over the Red Storm as the Irish scored in the 83rd minute of the contest ? provided the game-winning score in 2-0 victory over West Virginia when he scored the first goal of the game four minutes into the contest from Andreas Forstner and Reggie McKnight.

    HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: First player at Holly High School selected as a Parade All-American ? played only two years at Holly ??did not play as a freshman and missed his senior year because of commitments traveling with the National Team at Bradenton (Fla.) Academy ? earned letters in four sports ? soccer, basketball, tennis and football ? soccer team captain and MVP as a junior ? set school record for most goals scored in a season with 26 in 1998 ? in addition, dished off nine assists and was selected as the Tri-County Player of the Year ? tallied 12 goals and dished off 10 assists during his sophomore campaign ? earned all-conference, all-city, and all-state honors following both his sophomore and junior seasons ? was a kicker and wide receiver for the football team as a junior ? three-year member of basketball team and two-time team captain ? was an all-conference selection as a junior and senior and team MVP in that sport ? played in Michigan All-Star Game and set school record for steals in a season ? joined tennis team as a senior and played No. 2 singles and led that team to conference championship ? was a member of Varder III club team ? named to the BIG EAST Academic All-Star Team for the 2000-01 school year ? earned Dean?s List honors in the 2003 spring semester ? born Aug. 7, 1982 ? son of Jerry and Kathy Detter ? enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters as a sociology and computer applications major.
