HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Capped outstanding prep career at St. Joseph's with stellar senior season in which he scored 45 goals and dished off 22 assists owns career school records for points (226), goals (88) assists (50), game-winning goals (26) and single-season marks for goals (45), game-winning goals in a season (15) and assists (22) led high school team to best single season record in school history in 2002 with a 19-1-1 mark helped St. Joseph's capture sectional and regional crowns en route to a semi-state appearance teams set school marks for goals scored (115) and fewest goals allowed (12) named the Male Team of the Year by the Northern Indiana Soccer Association in 2001, was a member of squad which finished with a 19-2-1 record and won sectional and regional titles, in addition to earning a spot in semi-state finals helped St. Joseph's compile a 54-13-11 mark in four seasons named the Northern Indiana Player of the Year selected second team all-state in `02, after receiving third-team honors in `01 four-time all-district honoree six-year starter and co-captain of the Junior Irish Premier Team helped that team capture three Indiana state titles member of teams that finished as runner-up of the Midwest Regional National League in `99 and `00 started in `02 for the Indiana Invaders of Premier Development League (PDL) and was nominated for Rookie of the Year honors in that league played two-years of basketball in high school several relatives have graduated from Notre Dame - father Michael (1975), grandfather Thomas O'Grady (1950) and cousin Tim Brennan (2003) one of three children born June 25, 1984 sone of Michael and Kathleen Murphy.
