Talented fourth-year midfield player ? is slated to see action as a wide midfielder this season ? one of the team?s most complete players in terms of his dribbling and passing abilities ? a versatile athlete who can both score and create goals ? has struggled somewhat with his fitness and needs to improve in this area as he contends for a starting job in the midfield ? with the improvements he has made the last two seasons, has worked himself in position to contend for a starting position.

AS A JUNIOR: Earned two starts in the 13 games he played ? credited with two assists during the 2000 campaign ? dished off his first assist of the season in 3-0 win at Syracuse when he fed Chad Riley for a breakaway goal in netting Notre Dame?s third goal of the game at the 76:27 mark of the contest ? had the assist on the first of Justin Detter?s two goals in Irish win over Northwestern ? made his first start of the season (and third of his career) against Pittsburgh ? also was in the starting lineup versus Northwestern.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Played in 10 games and made two starts during the season ? notched his first career start in regular-season finale against Seton Hall and also earned start in Notre Dame?s BIG EAST Tournament quarterfinal matchup at Rutgers ? had a goal and an assist in ?99 ? first collegiate goal came in Notre Dame?s 5-0 win over Villanova ? was one of three players who had their first scores as collegians ? goal came at the 80:32 mark and was Notre Dame?s fourth of the game ? dished off his first collegiate assist in 3-1 loss to Georgetown when he assisted on score by Connor LaRose at the 78:20 mark.

AS A FRESHMAN: Played in more games (nine) than any other freshman except Shane Walton ? saw action for the first time in his collegiate career against Valparaiso in the season opener ? played in four BIG EAST contests ? Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Villanova and St. John?s.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: A two-time National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Umbro all-East selection ? finished his career with a school-record 55 goals ? two-time all-state selection ? earned BAL MVP honors following his junior and senior seasons ? member of the Pennsylvania Olympic Development Program and the Eastern Pennsylvania Region I Select Teams ? helped FC Delco to the ?96 and ?97 state crowns and played on the regional team and the Under-18 National Team Camp in San Diego, Calif. ? maintained a 3.9 grade point average and was a member of the National Honor Society ? has been named to the BIG EAST Academic All-Star Team in each of his three seasons ? born August 9, 1979 ? a finance major in the College of Business.
