HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Three-year starter on St. Ignatius squad that ranked among top 20 high school teams during past scholastic soccer season ? led team to three straight conference championships and back-to-back national rankings his junior and senior seasons ? an all-conference and all-city selection ? helped St. Ignatius to regional title during his junior year ? also advanced to state semifinals that same year ? missed most of his senior season with an injury, but managed two goals and four assists ? finished his career with 12 goals and 25 assists ? served as team captain his senior season ? starter on Ohio North State Olympic Developmental Team ? played in several European competitions in Italy, France, Spain, Austria and Sweden ? starting midfielder and part of only North American team to win the Gothia Cup (Under-16 Showcase) in Sweden ? the largest youth soccer tournament in the world ? nine-year veteran of club soccer ? played for the Internationals SC Club team and was a member of that team for five years ? led Internationals to 2000 Snickers state crown and to second-placed finish at regional championship ? named to all-star team at Notre Dame Elite Soccer Camp in summer of 2001 ? born February 25, 1984 ? son of Dennis and Ibi Tarnay ? enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business.
