NOTRE DAME, Ind. - University of Notre Dame men's soccer fans across the globe will have the ability to see the Fighting Irish take to the pitch several times during the 2013 campaign. A minimum of twelve matches can be seen on television or the Internet.

ESPNU will broadcast the Sept. 8 home opener versus North Carolina, which will signify the first official Atlantic Coast Conference contest for any sport at Notre Dame. Road tilts against ACC foes Clemson (Oct. 5), Virginia Tech (Oct. 11) and North Carolina State (Oct. 19) will be broadcast on ESPN3. The semifinals of the ACC Championship on Nov. 15 also can be seen on ESPN3, while the final on Nov. 17 will be aired on ESPNU.

Fighting Irish Digital Media will stream seven home games, including the exhibition showdown with Ohio State on Aug. 26, for free on WatchND.tv. The ACC Digital Network will cover the Oct. 8 home conference match against Maryland on theACC.com.

The first regular-season game on WatchND.tv will be a non-conference clash versus Michigan on Sept. 17. The web site will show the ACC showdown with Duke (Sept. 27) and the marquee in-state rivalry contest against defending national champion Indiana (Oct. 2).

Another key non-conference match versus Northwestern (Oct. 15) will air on WatchND.tv as will league battles against Virginia (Oct. 26) and Pittsburgh (Nov. 8).

"We must have one of the best schedules in the country and to see that nearly every game will be either streamed online or on TV really gives us national coverage throughout the season," Notre Dame head coach Bobby Clark said. "The ACC is one of the top conferences in the country. I recently saw one preseason poll (BennettRank), which don't always mean a lot, that had five ACC teams in the top six. It's a challenge as well, but it's a very nice challenge to have. You want to be playing the best opposition on a weekly basis. That is what makes you better and that is what good players look forward to."

Notre Dame is No. 6 in the BennettRank preseason rankings, while fellow ACC members Maryland, North Carolina, Wake Forest and Duke occupy the top four spots, respectively. Irish opponents UCLA (5) and Indiana (8) also appear in the top 10.

The Fighting Irish are coming off a very successful 2012 campaign. Notre Dame won the BIG EAST Championship and garnered the No. 1 seed for the NCAA Championship. The Irish finished with a 17-4-1 record and that signified the most wins for the program since 1988.

Of course the best way to see the Fighting Irish in action is at Alumni Stadium. Tickets for the 2013 season are on sale at Notre Dame's Murnane Family Athletics Ticket Office, which can be reached by phone (574-631-7356), in person through the ticket windows in the Rosenthal Atrium at Purcell Pavilion (located inside Gate 9) from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (ET) weekdays, or by going on-line to the tickets page of the official Notre Dame athletics web site (UND.com/tickets).
