Notre Dame Divers Compete at NCAA Zone C Championships
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- On the first of three days of
competition at the NCAA zone C diving championships at the
University of Minnesota, a trio of freshmen represented Notre
Dame. Herb Huesman placed 21st in the men's one-meter
competition while Rhiana Saunders was 23rd and Gina Ketelhohn
was 33rd in the women's three-meter competition.
Huesman finished with a score of 399.5 and will compete in the
three-meter competition on Saturday. Indiana's Pete Collier won
the men's one meter with a score of 539.4. Saunders recorded a
score of 368.20 while Ketelhohn posted a score of 325.05.
Cincinnati's Angie Trostel won the women's three meter with a
score of 491.35. The women's one-meter competition will take
place on Saturday with both platform portions of the diving
championships to be held on Sunday.
