    AS A JUNIOR: Earned three all-BIG EAST honors (200-yard medley relay, 400-yard medley relay, 100-yard back) ... member of BIG EAST champion 400-yard medley relay team with a school record time of 3:16.93 ... that time was also a NCAA "B" cut ... broke his own 100-yard backstroke school record time of 50.16 by going 50.11 at the Notre Dame Invitational ... reestablished the record twice at the BIG EAST Championship by going 50.10 and then 50.08, which stands as the current University record ... part of 200-yard medley relay team that set school mark at the BIG EAST Championship by going 1:30.12 ... fourth on the team with 353.75 total points (246 individual, 107.75 relay) ... third on the team with 13 first-place finishes in individual events ... claimed 10 more titles relay events ... swam the top three 100-yard back times on the team and four of the top five in the 200-yard back ... his top freestyle times were 22.36 in the 50-yard, 48.21 in the 100-yard and 1:47.08 in the 200-yard ... top 200-yard IM time was 1:53.15, which was a BIG EAST "A" cut ... the 100-yard free time was a BIG EAST "B" cut, which he swam at Louisville ... posted victories in the 100 back and 200 back at No. 22 BYU ... recorded a pool record at St. Bonaventure (Reilly Center Pool) in the 200 back (1:51.02) ... won the 100 and 200 back versus Oakland and also led off the victorious 200-yard medley relay team ... victorious in the 100 back in the meet versus Pittsburgh and Michigan State ... won the 100 and 200 back again at the Notre Dame Invitational ... led off the 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay teams during victories at the NDI.

    AS A SOPHOMORE: Established himself as the top backstroker in Irish history, breaking David Horak's records at both distances ... became first ND swimmer ever to break 1:49.00 in the 200 back, bettering Horak's mark by .32 seconds (1:48.98) at the Notre Dame Invitational ... after teammate Steve Shomberger broke his school record in the prelims at the BIG EAST Championships, Bauman came back in the finals to reset the school record at 1:48.44 as the conference runner-up (the best-ever finish for an ND swimmer in the race) ... also broke Horak's 100-yard record at the BIG EAST meet, with a time of 50.16 in finishing sixth ... swam leadoff leg of 200 medley relay that set school record in taking fourth at the conference meet with mark of 1:30.48 that ended as the 30th-fastest time in Division I in 2003-04 ... also led off fourth-place 400 medley relay whose time of 3:19.66 ended up 42nd in the nation ... finished sixth on team in points (277 total, 172 individual) despite swimming backstroke events almost exclusively ... had 45 points (30 in individual events), fourth-highest on the team, in helping Irish to their top point total ever in the BIG EAST meet ... swam leadoff leg for 200 medley relay that set meet record (1:31.62) in taking first at the Notre Dame Invitational in then-second-fastest time in school history ... finished second in both 100 and 200 back in NDI ... posted three of the top five times in school history in the 100 back and four of the top seven marks in the 200 ... registered six race victories in dual-meet competition (three at each distance) and was the top qualifier in prelims at the Notre Dame Invitational in the 200 ... also had 12 race victories in medley relay action (six at each distance) ... led off 10 medley relays that posted first-place finishes in dual meets, including the 200 that beat #19 BYU ... came into the BIG EAST meet with the second-fastest time in the conference in the 200 and the third-quickest in the 100 (50.33) ... took part in two relays (400 medley, 3:29.84; 400 backstroke, 3:29.41) that set meet records at the Dennis Stark Relays.

    AS A FRESHMAN: Walk-on finished fifth on team in points scored in 2002-03 ... combined with Steve Shomberger to be one of the top backstroke duos in Irish history ... just missed both Irish records at BIG EAST Championships ... swam leadoff backstroke leg on record-setting 200 and 400 medley relays ... earned all-BIG EAST honors in the former, finishing third ... was sixth in 100 back and 12th in 200 back ... posted four of top seven times in Irish history in 100 back, with season best just .06 off the varsity record ... delivered two of top five times in school history in 200 on same day at BIG EAST meet, missing record by .32 seconds ... had six individual event victories in dual-meet action ... finished in top three on 12 other occasions ... swam 200 IM at Notre Dame Invitational ... one of three recipients of team's Most Improved award for improvement throughout the season.
