The Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving teams took on Michigan State at home on January 21st.
AS A FRESHMAN: Primarily competed in the breaststroke and individual medley in his inaugural season with the Irish ... garnered All-BIG EAST honors as a member of the 200 medley relay that took third at the BIG EAST Championships ... recorded three top-six finishes in individual events at the same meet ... moved into second-place all-time for both breaststroke events thanks to a pair of fourth-place finishes, recording a 54.39 for the 100 breast and a 1:57.57 for the 200 breast, both NCAA B-cuts ... took sixth in the 200 IM at the BIG EAST Championships, turning in a time of 1:49.10, good for his third NCAA B-cut of the season ... swept both breaststroke events in the dual meet versus Michigan State, recording times of 56.82 for the 100 breast and 2:01.10 for the 200 breast ... completed the same breaststroke sweep against Pittsburgh ... represented the Irish at the 2012 US Olympic Trials, competing in the 100 meter breast (1:02.86, 33rd) and the 200 breast (2:17.05, 39th) ... monogram winner.
