01/28/2011 M&W Swimming & Diving: Shamrock Invitational (Day 1)The Men & Women's Swimming & Diving teams hosted the Shamrock Invitational at Rolfs Aquatic Center on January 28-29th. FALL (2010): Notched a career-best time in the 200 IM (1:54.34) at the Hawkeye Invitational while also collecting three season-best times at the invitational ... top season times included performances of 54.23 in the 100 back, 51.30 in the 100 fly and 1:54.64 in the 200 fly. AS A SOPHOMORE: Had a sensational Ohio State Invitational, setting four top season times and two career best times ... personal bests included times of 53.43 in the 100 back and 1:53.38 in the 200 IM while season bests included times of 1:55.86 in the 200 fly and 50.61 in the 100 fly ... secured a season best time of 1:59.83 in the 200 back in a tri-meet with Cleveland State and Miami (Ohio). AS A FRESHMAN: Swam a season-best 200 back time of 1:55.32 at the BIG EAST Championships ... finished the 100 fly in 50.16 at the league meet ... top 200 fly performance was clocked in a dual meet with Olivet at a time of 1:53.48 ... went 1:57.97 in the 200 IM at the Ohio State Invite. THE FRANCESCO FILE: Two-time all-conference swimmer and recipient of three varsity letters at St. Joseph's (Pa.) ... Junior Nationals Qualifier ... swam at the club level for the Jersey Wahoos, earning the team's Matthew Weiner Award for Excellence and Effort ... best times out of high school: 400 IM (4:03.37), 200 IM (1:54.88), 100 fly (50.72), 200 back (1:54.21) ... member of National Honor Society ... earned school's gold medal for excellence in biology and silver medal for AP English performance ...
