AS A JUNIOR: Placed third in the 400-yard IM at the BIG EAST meet with a season-best time of 3:55.03 to garner the fourth all-BIG EAST honor of his career... posted other BIG EAST "A" cuts in the 100-yard breast (59.35), 200-yard breast (2:04.51) and the 200-yard IM (1:50.46) ... the 200-IM time ranks him second in school history ... the 100-breast time was swam at BYU, while the others were achieved at the BIG EAST Championships ... established BIG EAST "B" cuts with season-best times in the 200-yard freestyle (1:45.08), 500-free (4:48.54), 200-yard back (1:57.67) and the 100-yard fly (52.84) ... swam three events in all at the conference meet (200-breast, 200-IM, 400-IM) ... first on the team in the 400-yard IM, second in the 200-IM and third on the team in the 200-breast ... swam the second and third fastest times in school history in the 400-IM and the seventh-fastest in the 200-IM ... tied for 17th on the team with 171 total points (165 individual, 6 relay).
AS A SOPHOMORE: Became the first Notre Dame student-athlete since 2000 to claim a BIG EAST championship, beating the field by more than a second in winning the 400 individual medley in a time of 3:55.37 that ranked him 56th in Division I ... earned all-BIG EAST honors for the third time ... improved upon seed time by more than five seconds ... also was second on team in 200 IM (1:50.85) and third in 200 breast (2:04.13) ... ranked third on team in individual points scored with 249.5 ... 38.5 of those points - second-highest total on the team - came in the BIG EAST meet, making him a big factor in the Irish finishing second and posting their highest-ever point total ... finished fourth in the 200 IM and 13th in the 200 breast ... finished first in the 200 IM in the Notre Dame Invitational and was third in the 400 IM and fourth in 200 breast ... also had six dual-meet race victories including one in the 500 free and one in the 200 breast ... took part in 400 individual medley relay that set meet record (3:40.39) in the Dennis Stark Relays ... also qualified for BIG EAST meet in 200 free and 100 breast.
