AS A SOPHOMORE: Saw improvement in five total events in his second year with the Irish ... lowered four personal-best marks at the Hawkeye Invitational, hitting the wall in the 100 back (52.35), 200 back (1:51.50), 200 IM (1:52.50), and 400 IM (4:00.95) to log top times in those events ... recorded a swim in the 100 breast that stopped the clock at 58.37 at the Shamrock Invitational ... saw dual meet action against Louisville, Northwestern, Michigan State, and Valparaiso ... won second monogram.
AS A FRESHMAN: Competed in primarily the back and individual medley events in his first season in South Bend ... topped out at 54.29 in the 100 back at the Hawkeye Invitational ... also notched a season-best time of 4:03.73 in the 400 IM at the invitational ... registered two additional career-best performances at the Shamrock Invitational with swims of 1:52.00 in the 200 back and 1:54.07 in the 200 IM ... tried his luck at the 50 free against Purdue and clocked in at 22.83.
