Men's Swimming Finishes Fourth At The Bill Ritter Invitational
Jan. 22, 2000 Complete Results in PDF Format NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- An abbreviated Notre Dame men' swimming squad finished third overall Saturday at the two-day, six-team Bill Ritter Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay won the men's competition with 912 points, while host Wisconsin-Milwaukee finished second with 886 points. The Irish won two events overall in back-to-back events, the 100 breaststroke and 100 backstroke. Sophomore Mike Koss won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:00.2 before junior Brian Skorney claimed the 100 backstroke with a time of 53.16. Second-place finishes went to freshman Clay Miller in the 400 individual medley (4:14.79) and sophomore Elliott Drury, who swam a career best time of 16:39.08 in the last event of the meet, the 1650 freestyle. The Notre Dame men's swimming and diving team will be back in action next weekend with two home dual meets against Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Friday, Jan. 28, at 4 p.m. and against Oakland University on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 1 p.m.
