Final Stats

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of Notre Dame men's swimming and diving team dropped its first dual meet of the season to North Carolina 183.5-111.5. The Irish posted four first place finishes against the Tarheels, including a sweep of the 200 yard individual medley.

The Irish put 16 points on the board and turned in their strongest performance of the day in the 200 yard individual medley. Freshman Ted Brown (Kokomo, Ind./Western H.S.) led the way finishing first at 1:57:11, followed by junior David Moisan (Fisherville, Ky./Louisville Male H.S.) at 1:58:56, while sophomore Jamie Lutkus (Granger, Ind./Penn H.S.) touched third with a time of 1:58:84 seconds.

Sophomore Tim Randolph (Crown Point, Ind./Merrillville H.S.) took the top spot in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 58.75 seconds.

Junior Frank Krakowski (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Preparatory School) placed first in the 50 yard freestyle, edging out Tarheel Justin Donato by eight hundreths of a second clocking in at 21.62 seconds.

Freshman Tim Kegelman (Yorktown, Va./Tabb H.S.) touched first in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 49.89 seconds.

Notre Dame will continue its fall break road trip traveling to Raleigh, N.C., to face North Carolina State on Thursday, October 23.
