LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Notre Dame men's swimming and diving squad traveled south to face the reigning BIG EAST Conference champions Saturday and fell on the short side of a 191-109 decision to host Louisville. Notre Dame's dual meet record dropped to 4-3 on the season after the loss.

Sophomore Frank Dyer took home gold in the 50 and 500 free while freshman diver Michael Kreft also notched two victories for the Irish as he swept the 1- and 3-meter diving events. The Irish also collected a handful of second place individual finishes, including performances by senior Petar Petrovic (100 back), juniors Bill Bass (100 fly) and Ryan Koter (1-meter diving), Dyer (200 free) and freshmen Jimmy McEldrew (1,000 free, 200 back) and Nick Nemetz (3-meter diving).

The Irish will continue their road trek by competing at the Iowa Invitational (swimming) and the Ohio State Invitational (diving) during the first week of December.
