NOTRE DAME, Ind.- - The Notre Dame men's swimming squad defeated
Cleveland State, 13.5-96.5, in a dual meet held at Rolfs Aquatic Center. With the
win, the Irish evened their record to 2-2 so far this season.
Notre Dame was led by sophomore James Scott-Browne (Seattle, Wash.), who won
the 200 and 500 freestyle, while senior Scott Zumbach (Katonah, N.Y.) picked up
wins in both the 200-yard individual medley and 200 butterfly. Four other Notre
Dame swimmers had first-place finishes for the Irish, as the team won nine of the
13 events, despite not having anyone participating in the two diving events.
The win moved the Notre Dame lead in the two schools' all-time series to
15-10 overall. The Irish will swim next at the Notre Dame Invitational, December
3-5.
