Notre Dame Men's Swimming Sweeps Bowling Green and Buffalo
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The Notre Dame Mens' Swimming and Diving
Team defeated both Bowling Green Unversity and University of Buffalo in
dual meet action. The Fighting Irish defeated the Falcons by a score of
180-61 and the Bulls 134-97. With the two wins, Notre Dame improves its
dual meet record to 8-1 on the season.
Notre Dame managed to win all of its races against their MAC opponent and
captured nine of 13 events against Buffalo.
Scott Zumbach and Herb Huesman were double winners for the Irish. Zumbach
was victorious in both the 200 individual medley (1:53.84) and butterfly
(51.35). Huesman won both the one-meter and three-meter diving with point
totals of 277.75 and 243,90, respectively.
The men's squad will be in action again tomorrow, January 31 when they face
Cleveland State in a dual meet at 2:00 p.m. in Cleveland, Ohio.
