Sullivan Named BIG EAST Swimming And Diving Athlete Of The Week

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Sophomore Michael Sullivan was named the BIG EAST Conference's Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week for his efforts last Saturday against No. 16 Purdue, the league announced Wednesday. Sullivan took part in a pair of Irish wins as the Notre Dame swimming and diving team dropped a dual-meet decision to the Boilermakers. Sullivan was first in the 200 Back (1:52.79) and 400 Individual Medley (4:07.18). Both times were season-best marks for the Irish. Sullivan, who hails from Franklin, Mass., also owns Notre Dame's fastest time of the campaign in the 400 IM (4:07.18). The Irish (1-2) travel to Cleveland State for a tri-meet with the Vikings and Miami (Ohio) on Nov. 15.
